How LIHIGH Checks Used Construction Machinery Before Export

A practical overview of the photos, identification details, cold-start video, working tests and shipping checks buyers can request for an actual used machine.

How LIHIGH Checks Used Construction Machinery Before Export

Buying used construction machinery across borders requires evidence from the actual unit, not only a model brochure or a general specification sheet. Before a buyer confirms an order, LIHIGH can organize current photos, identification details, operating videos and practical export information for the machine being offered.

1. Confirm the actual machine

The first step is to match the quotation with a specific machine. Buyers should request the serial plate, current exterior photos, cab and meter photos, engine compartment views and close images of important wear areas. The model, year, working hours and configuration should be reconfirmed against the available unit.

2. Request a cold-start and walk-around video

A useful inspection video begins before the engine is warmed up. It can show the cold start, idle condition, exhaust smoke, dashboard warnings and engine sound. A walk-around can then record the boom, arm, frame, cylinders, hoses, undercarriage or tyres, attachments and any visible repairs or leakage.

3. Test the main working functions

The operating test should match the machine type. For an excavator, this normally includes boom, arm, bucket, swing and travel actions. Loaders, cranes, graders, bulldozers and crushing equipment need different checks. Hydraulic response, abnormal noise, leakage and movement under load should be recorded where practical.

4. Check dimensions and the loading plan

Shipping cost depends on the actual dimensions, weight and preparation method. Before the final quotation, LIHIGH can confirm whether the machine is suitable for a container, flat rack, RoRo or bulk shipment and whether parts such as the bucket, counterweight, boom or cabin require preparation.

5. Confirm the quotation and shipment records

The final offer should identify the machine, included preparation, trade term and destination port. Buyers can request loading photos and shipping information after the order is confirmed. Import requirements and destination-market documents should also be checked before payment.
